The Liquid Vent is the output Building in a Sandustry fluid network. It deposits Water—or another supported non-Lava liquid—delivered by a Pump through connected Pipes. It does not create liquid; it releases liquid transported from a source.

How It Works

The Liquid Vent sits at the output end of a connected fluid network:

Water source
  -> Pump
  -> continuous Pipe connection
  -> Liquid Vent
  -> destination area

The Pump takes liquid from the source, the Pipe connection transports it, and the Liquid Vent deposits it at the destination. If Water or another obstruction occupies the deposit area, the Vent can stop releasing liquid until the output area can accept more.

  • Completing an automated Pump-to-Pipe fluid transport chain.
  • Supplying Water to a production area without moving the source itself.
